About I Heritage

A Different Kind of Housing Provider

✦ Community Interest Company

I Heritage is a Community Interest Company (CIC) limited by guarantee. We are a specialist supported housing provider, not a care provider. Our role is to develop, manage, and maintain safe, stable, and high-quality accommodation for adults and young people with complex needs, creating the physical and tenancy foundation upon which excellent care and support can be delivered.

Our residents include adults with learning disabilities, individuals with mental health needs, care leavers transitioning to independence, and children and young people requiring supported living arrangements. We recognise that the right home is not just a practical necessity, it is the foundation for recovery, independence, and social inclusion.

Our model is built on strategic, accountable partnership. I Heritage does not deliver personal care or regulated support services. Instead, we work alongside CQC-registered adult social care providers and Ofsted-registered children’s and young people’s services to ensure every resident receives both a compliant, well-managed home and the appropriate regulated care or support package, with clear accountability at every level.

This deliberate separation of housing management and care delivery is fundamental to our governance structure. It ensures transparency for commissioners, regulators, and residents alike, and reflects our commitment to operating with integrity within the wider health and social care landscape.

Our Service Model

What We Provide

Three interconnected service pillars, each designed to support the overall wellbeing, stability, and independence of every resident we house.

01

Safe & Compliant Supported Housing

We provide well-maintained, purpose-appropriate homes that fully comply with UK housing standards and relevant supported housing legislation. Every property is a secure, stable base from which residents can engage with care, build skills, and work toward greater independence.

02

Dedicated Tenancy Support

Sustaining a tenancy is often the single most significant challenge facing individuals moving from residential or acute settings into the community. Our tenancy support service empowers residents to manage their home confidently, providing guidance on rent, household budgeting, utility management, and access to local community services.

03

Regulated Care Partnership Framework

I Heritage does not deliver personal care or regulated support services. We work in formal partnership with CQC-registered adult social care providers and Ofsted-registered children’s and young people’s services to ensure every resident has access to the right regulated care alongside their accommodation.

Our Principles

How We Work

Four principles that guide every decision we make, for residents, partners, and the communities we operate within.

We Prioritise People

Every resident is an individual with unique needs, goals, and aspirations. We take the time to understand each person and build support around them, not the other way around. Residents are treated with dignity and respect at every stage.

We Build Long-Term Stability

Our tenancy support model is designed to prevent crisis before it occurs. By helping residents manage their homes with confidence, we build the long-term security that enables them to engage meaningfully with care, employment, and community life.

We Foster Community Connection

Social isolation is a significant risk for many of the individuals we house. We actively support residents to connect with local services, community networks, and opportunities, reducing isolation and building the social capital that sustains independent living.

We Collaborate for Better Outcomes

We know that exceptional outcomes require genuine partnership. Our relationships with local authorities, care providers, and community agencies are built on mutual respect, shared accountability, and a collective commitment to the people we serve.
